This review is from: Intel G4620 Kaby Lake Dual-Core 3.7 GHz LGA 1151 51W BX80677G4620 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 630

Pros: Really low price with high performance. Don't expect to put this in a server, but for desktop and gaming this cpu works. But by works, i mean it's pretty much the minimum. It will run your games, but don't expect anything over 100 fps. It's a pentium.

I put this in my gaming pc to run some benchmarks, and works 100%. I would recommend it.

This probably not going to be a pro for most of you, but it slows down my gpu. I have an rx 480 in my system, and it has been known to have fans that go too fast, and it becomes really loud. This takes most the heat off of my graphics card, making it quieter even in ultra graphics.

It is very low heat. It runs about 30c idle and 40c under load with the intel heatsink + fan.

Runs faster about the same as i5-6600.

• 1% faster single core speed

• 33% slower quad core speed

• 75% cheaper

Cons: Bottlenecking occurs in all graphics card. A max of 100 fps is hit in most games. This doesn't matter that much, unless you are playing a cpu intense game.

Also, there are only two cores. I would recommend 4 cores for gaming pc because it prevents most bottlenecking. But you can. If you are going for a cheap gaming pc, this is the one for you. It will work well, but not great.

Other Thoughts: CPU benches 65%. (100% = Core i7-7700)

This is definitely the best value processor right now. I recommend upgrading later if you are putting it in a gaming pc.
